Tree Graffiti

Sometimes you find things you are just not expecting to find. Like when going around a zoo, checking out all of the wildlife, and then you come across a large tree that is totally marked up with people carving their name into it.

Neat capture. Kinda whimsical and youthful. I like it. We have a park a few miles from my home that has bands of sorts carved into it filled with names. Amazingly enough it seems like the tree is thriving still after it’s bark being so carved up.

Great photo Kristi! It’s always good to come to a shot like this and find out who was and who wasn’t here. Love the textures and details you’ve captured here… I found myself wandering around the image for quite some time taking in all the goodies I could. Great way to wrap up a great week!

No, I didn’t. I actually would feel a bit guilty, like I was hurting the tree. 🙂
