Capturing lightning during the day is a bit of a trickier feat as you can’t leave the shutter open as long without having a completely over-exposed image. So in essence, with the faster shutter speed, you just have to get luckier. And this afternoon, I did just that!

Another photo from my first serious lightning shoot. Haven’t caught a good one since, but that just makes all of the captures from the first time more special.
This one was almost a 5-bolt… can you spot where the fifth one almost emerged?

With all the good lightning, I really couldn’t resist doing another shot this week. I thought about devoting the whole week to lightning, but then thought I’d save some to sprinkle in every now and again. This one reminded me of a stickman walking across the valley. Wonder where he was headed?

A week ago I shot my first bolt of lightning. Fast forward to this weekend and I now have several awesome lightning shots, but by far, this one was my favorite. Thank you monsoon season for giving me lots of electrical magic to practice with!
