Starfish on the Beach

by Kristi Hines · Australia

I was worried about this little guy at first, because he looked pretty stuck. Then the waves came and took him back out where he belonged, but not before I got a good shot of him.

I like how the water has that dreamy look to it and the pattern of the sand.

Starfish are fun. Never seen one in the ocean though, only in tanks. Great shot!

Nice shot Kristi, I like the way the water movement looks around his arms. The poor guy also appears to be upside down.;(

Ah, that’s a beautiful shot!! I love how red it is.

I have a TON of starfish photos, you made me wonder why I have never posted any. I like your better though. Funny thing to is I have not seen any starfish like that out in CA. Ours are all fat and bumby and look like purple legged rocks!

Always cool to find little creatures laying around on the beach. Florida has a lot of jellyfishes. If your not careful… ouch!

Great photo, you have a good eye to find these images. I’m just using my iphone for my photoblog, but I don’t travel much and haven’t found an eye to catch the really good shots yet.

A gem of a frame with beautiful hues and detail captured. I love starfish and often photograph the blue ones that are native to the BC coastline where my family live. Love your presentation here.
