It’s the Journey, Not the Destination

by Kristi Hines · Arizona, HDR

That’s what I told myself on Sunday at least. My goal for the day was to get some great shots at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and in the nearby forest, but by the time I got there, the skies were all dreary and the rain came in unpredictable bursts.

Fortunately, I took several stops along the way to catch some great moments, one being this nice road portrait with some puffy white clouds.

Also, just wanted to thank everyone for the comments and tweets recently. I’ve been slammed both at work and afterwards, so I haven’t gotten around to commenting as much as I’d like to. I’m hoping to do some nice catching up later this week or during the weekend. 🙂

Wonderful shot Kristi – the composition really works for me, and as for the clouds… amazing, almost 3D like!

Beautiful Kristie.
I noticed you are using Topaz adjust and photomantix, so is a single exposure shot or a multiple exposure shot?

Great Shot! I like the depth within the clouds. It captures nicely the joys of riding a bike on a lonely road.
