Furniture or Reservations?

by Kristi Hines on April 22, 2011 · Arizona, Black Canyon City, HDR

My final shot (for now) from the dog track in Black Canyon City. This is a look into the main area. If you look all the way in the back, you can even see a randomly misplaced toilet!

OMG that place is trashed! Love it! I’m in AZ this summer for a week, might have to visit this place :)

ha-ha love this one! It’s ironic and that’s awesome. One question, why would a dog track have a big giant furniture sign? Was that relic from when they closed down? Like, trying to sell off their furniture?

It was turned into a swap meet after the race track closed down. They obviously didn’t sell their chairs though. :)

All of the crap lying around really adds so much detail to the image. Good stuff!

Great shot! Lots details! The de-saturation makes it looks really nice! Still feel said about the place.

This is awesome Kristi – Your husband has competition! I like this version more, infact. Your shot gives me a better feeling. Weird but I sometimes feel somethings off in shots. Great Urbex shots lately

Man that is kind of crazy to see how desolate that place is! You’ve captured it perfectly!

So much detail I could look at it for hours. Beautifully captured, you really get a feel for the place. I’m so glad to have come across your blog through your recent ‘How I Organize Google Reader for Blog Commenting’ post when I clicked on my recommended items on Google Reader, thank you.
