And today, for literal title day, we have a little landmark that probably goes unnoticed by urbex photographers in a popular shooting location in AZ.

On the last trip to the greyhound park in Black Canyon City, I thought I’d take advantage of my new 50mm lens and use it on the old letters that were lying around behind the ticket counter. I’d say this lens definitely did a much better job than my last attempt at a similar shot.

My last thoughts when leaving the greyhound park was what would we would find on our next visit. Would things remain as they are now? Or will things be taken down, bit by bit, until nothing remains but a gutted, empty structure with nothing but graffiti covered walls and broken glass on the ground.

There are only two sections of seating left at the greyhound park now. My guess is that on our next visit, even those will be gone. It’s kind of sad that at first whomever was taking the time to unbolt the chairs, but after awhile just started ripping them off the hinges.

Not sure why, but almost every shot I took from the weekend at the dog track had that pile of chairs in it.
Here’s another look into the main area and the now halfway destroyed ticket counter in the back. It was partially torn down the last time we were there too, but it seems like more has been pulled apart as this was the part of the counter I shot some letters on in a previous visit.

This weekend, we revisited my first big urbex location, the Black Canyon dog track. It’s sad to say, but it looks like someone is starting to clean / tear the place up, more so than just the usual vandalism.
On our previous visit, my husband took this shot of the seating. Fast forward to this weekend where we found what you see in the image below. More shots to come!
