Closeup with a Chicken

by Kristi Hines

For a while here in Arizona, I thought we had escaped the winter with several days in the 70’s. But that changed this Tuesday (Valentine’s Day) when it dropped back to a chilly temp. Chilly for us in Phoenix at least. In tribute, I decided to post something wintry.

The Laughing Camel

by Kristi Hines

There’s nothing like catching an animal at the right time, kind of like this shot of a camel who looks like he just heard a great joke…

Inside an Icy Mossy Cave

by Kristi Hines

While the name of this cave is Mossy Cave, it really should be re-named the Icy Cave in the winter. It was full of lovely ice formations. The challenge was getting close enough to shoot inside, as the ground next to the railing was also covered in ice.
